The prayer that helped me lose 55 pounds

For me, prayer’s efficacy lies in the tremendous strength we gain when we unite our rational and emotional faculties. If you want your prayers answered, you need to know this: Bring your whole being into harmony with the outcome you seek. Whatever you wish will be yours if you genuinely believe you have already received it.

It dawned on me that if this were the case, individuals should be able to pray for the things they desire, such as improved health, increased happiness, reduced stress, and rapid weight loss. It had occurred to me before that I was about 50 pounds overweight, so it only made sense to “put my money where my mouth is,” as the saying goes.

If one were to starve oneself and exercise like crazy, they could achieve their weight loss goals. Will they be content, though? Some of them probably will, and others will start feeling better once they see improvements. Unfortunately, this is the most common weight loss approach and is also the most unsuccessful. Remember that nearly two-thirds of the U.S. population is overweight or obese.

Nothing we have done as a group so far has been successful. It contributes to the deterioration of our weight problems rather than helping them. Since most of the population is overweight in the United States, I opted out of engaging in the activities that are the norm there. In particular, I did not alter my diet in terms of the quantity or variety of food I consumed. I also didn’t change when I ate.

However, I have begun to consume three liters of pure water regularly. The only thing different about my diet was this. I still enjoy the occasional coke-float or milkshake, but I am less inclined to consume them now that I am not as thirsty as I once was. I’ve consciously decided to destroy them as meals rather than drinks, and I’ve been doing so guilt-free ever since. A fattening effect of guilt. Stress, which is what you get from feeling guilty, makes you produce and store fat.

Also, I didn’t start an exercise routine because I refused to commit to any structured schedule or routine. I envisioned a good outcome and hoped for it. All I did was use my brain and have faith in the ideas and plans I made for myself. I remade myself mentally, giving myself a new identity and body weight, and I told myself it was real. Every day I said it would be confirmed until finally, it was. Of course, it took time, but it moved surprisingly rapidly.

To alter my outlook on fat and food, I focused my mental energy. I concluded that no matter what I eat, my body will always produce fat when needed. Also, I’ve concluded that body fat is on my side, as it is what my body makes in response to adversity. I also began thanking God for my reflection in the mirror and the extra padding my body had provided. I started counting my blessings for my excellent physical condition.

In addition, I made an effort to rid myself of stress, anxiety, fear, anger, resentment, concern, grief, and any other unpleasant feeling, as I know from experience that stress triggers the release of the hormone cortisol, which in turn causes the body to generate and retain fat. After I stopped worrying so much, the extra weight just melted away. And I accomplished it all in my head, in my prayers and meditations.

The only other thing I did differently during those two months when I lost 55 pounds was to put into practice the ideas presented by Dr. Masaru Emoto in his Messages from Water books and videos. The water I drank had its labels removed, and I prayed over it, hoping my words would be absorbed into my system. The words “Love, Health, Peace, Lean, Flexible, etc…” were among those I penned. I only included encouraging comments I thought would be helpful. The film “What the Bleep Do We Know?” showcased Dr. Emoto’s study, which may be found online at http://www.Hado.net.

I lost almost 50 pounds in less than two months without changing my food or exercising. Instead, I shifted my mindset to prioritize my health. The proverb begins, “As a man thinketh…” I simply “thought-eth” of myself as I desired to be, made my intention known, and now it is so. I focused on appreciating the present and planning for the future rather than dwelling on the past. If you shift your thoughts and focus on what you truly want, you may dramatically change any area of your life.

However, many people find it difficult to change their minds. Several methods can help you alter your outlook on life, your body, the food you eat, your experiences, and pretty much anything else you can think of, all thanks to recent scientific and medical advancements. The Z-Point Process for Instant Emotional Healing, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), and TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique) are all techniques that use the mind and nervous and meridian systems to help you let go of the beliefs and emotions that cause your body to produce and store fat.

Thousands of doctors, psychologists, coaches, and therapists worldwide use these “rapid change techniques” because they produce profound results by removing the barriers to practical and creative thinking and allowing for more conscious, focused thoughts.
