Rockdale Primary School

Rockdale Primary School is a public, coeducational elementary school for grades K-6 students in Rockdale. Students are required to wear uniforms, and the school offers many academic, sports, and creative and performing arts enrichment programs, literacy/numeracy efforts, and student empowerment initiatives.

The school also provides students who require social work access to its Social Work program, with universal rules expected to respect all individuals and the environment. At our school, the Rockets Tumbling Team competes year-round. This tumbling group is led by Mrs. Sherrell Kahr, a Tumbling Teacher since 2004, by a staff member who manages students from grades 3-6. Since 2004, this tumbling teacher has led her team with great success!

Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology (RMSST) is an academic magnet school within Rockdale Public High Schools that provides STEM-focused learning opportunities to all public high school students within its county. Its goal is to challenge all students towards academic excellence in a challenging yet supportive learning environment. RMSST’s curriculum features advanced STEM courses, a three-year science research course sequence, and additional STEM graduation requirements for its enrollment.

Rockdale Academy’s Tumbling Team, known as the Rockdale Rockets, competes throughout the year and has taken home multiple first and second-place medals this year. This group, led by Mrs. Sherrell Kahr of their faculty team, emphasizes technique and safety – characteristics that have propelled their success at competitions across the region.

Rockdale Boys & Girls Club

The Rockdale Boys & Girls Club provides activities for kids and adolescents to learn leadership skills in their community. Located at 1015 O’Kelly Street in Conyers, Georgia, they aim to encourage and equip youth to become firm, caring leaders who contribute positively to schools and communities.

The club provides daily Summer Enrichment programs for Rockdale Academy summer school students from 12-5:30 pm and daily Summer Youth programs for youth not attending summer school or living nearby in families that live nearby. In particular, their teen program, LYRICAL 101, cultivates and amplifies the voices of teens through creative expression.

This club provides general gymnastics classes, competition teams for girls in grades 3-6, and baseball and fast-pitch softball leagues for ages 13-18. DIY STEM projects that connect science themes with creative projects; Project Learn’s academic enrichment and school engagement activities; and Computer Science Pathway, which guides youths in exploring computer programming skills.

Soaring Heights

Soaring Heights provides activities and programs designed to connect military families. These include sports leagues, a community center, special events, and home options that meet military family requirements. Furthermore, community offices take resident concerns earnestly and strive to resolve them efficiently and quickly.

The school offers after-school programs for those students requiring extra assistance, which aim to prepare them for their next level of learning.
